Creating a Culture of Innovation & Entrepreneurship in China
On 6th August, MBS China Centre invites Simon Stewart, Director of Business Advisory, China Britain Business Council to talk to about innovation and entrepreneurship in China. Entrepreneurship is always a popular topic in China Centre, with an increasing number of students starting their own company and more students planning to do so. Joining Simon is our MBA students Summer Xia, Founder of Seed Link and Jenfay Yang, Founder of Shanghai MT Design Co., (美田创意), who will share stories of how they established their own company and how the Manchester MBA has helped them to lead their company to become more successful.
A panel discussion will be hosted by Simon after Summer and Jenfay shares their individual story. Audience is also welcomed to raise questions and join the discussion.

About Speaker:
Simon Stewart, Director, Business Advisory, China Britain Business Council
Simon is currently a director for business advisory and sector team leader for ‘Education, training and talent’ at CBBC. Simon has worked with hundreds of corporate companies in his 16 years’ career life in sales, corporate training and consulting area. He has spent last 10 years in China and has significant experience leading effective international teams and creating client value.

I was born in Shanghai and grow up in this amazing city. I was an IT engineer and manager working for an old fashion Germany manufacturer for almost ten years. During my MBA study, I met my current business partner and was inspired by him about being entrepreneur. In 2013, I made one of the biggest decision in my life, leaving the comfortable zone of career to have my first startup Seedlink Technology, in the pursuit of innovation spirit, servant leadership and entrepreneurship.
