Leadership research has decades of tradition in the west, but has only recently been embraced by Chinese scholars. Two professors who are both doing research as well as practicing consultancy, one Chinese and one Western, will share how they see the need to adopt leadership research. They will discuss some highlights from their research and comment on topics such as:

 Is leadership theory useful everywhere
 How can Western leadership theory learn from Chinese philosophy
 How can Chinese leaders benefit from learning about western leadership theory?  Do we need types of research that take both perspectives into consideration?
