Couse Description
This course is part of a program to prepare you to be a senior executive in an organization, executives who will be responsible for looking out into future and developing and implementing strategies which will best guide the organization to achieving its goals in the future.  We will be sampling from both the macroeconomic and microeconomic approaches to see how they can help us make better forecasts of the future and develop better strategies.  Moreover, because governments and international organizations have an important impact on the economy, we will have to consider the behavior of governments more explicitly than you have in any other course in the program.  We will do this within the broader context of strategy.  Specifically, this means we will spend more time thinking about global strategies and both the opportunities and the risks that come with a globalized world.
