Companies achieve top-line revenue grow by investing in their current business or by acquiring other businesses through mergers and acquisitions.  Both processes lead to increases in shareholder wealth only when the return on these investments is higher than the cost of the capital used to achieve the top-line growth.  To help executives make these investment decisions, this course provides a hands-on experience in financial valuation and financial analysis applied to the capital budgeting process - decisions about which projects an executive should invest the company’s capital in, and financial valuation - the process of determining the right price to pay or ask for in a merger or acquisition transaction.
